ComputerXplorers is committed to providing a quality service delivering innovative technology sessions to children in pre-schools and primary schools.

Our aim is to ensure that ComputerXplorers sessions are welcomed by teachers, valued by parents and encourage children.

We believe that feedback is an essential element in continually improving our product.

Your micro:bit workshops have enthused many of the pupils into the idea of what STEM subjects can be which has led to an increase in the uptake of our STEM enrichment course.

A big plus is the amount of interest amongst girls as they have been a priority for us. As word of the course got around there were a number of girls that wanted to be added to the sessions. I feel it has broken down the barrier towards STEM subjects for a number of the girls.

David Hardman, Ross High School, East Lothian

Not only has the standard of pupils' work improved 100%, staff are increasingly confident in their teaching using a wide range of software. Pupils across Early Years, KS1 and KS2 can now demonstrate their skills using programmes such as Scratch and Moviemaker.  They can post blogs, write wiki pages and contribute to web sites.  Also, I must mention your excellent work for the Titan Technology Day. The pupils' presentations using Crazytalk and Newsmaker were fantastic - and they enjoyed every minute of it. I'm so glad that Anglesey's relationship with ComputerXplorers is set to continue next year- and have no doubt at all that, with your support we can achieve national recognition of excellence in our ICT work. A really great job! Thank you.

Lynn Houston, Acting Deputy/KS2 Curriculum Manager, Anglesey PS, Lozells.

ComputerXplorers has proven a popular club with lots of enjoyable and educational hands-on experience for the children.

Sarah Fisher, ICT Co-ordinator, Badshot Lea Infant School, Surrey

Over the past few years, ComputerXplorers have provided Abbeymead Primary School with a range of excellent services.  Their after school clubs have proved popular and the children always look forward to the team coming into assembly to tell them about new, upcoming clubs.  We have also used ComputerXplorers to provide curriculum CPD to our staff through staff meetings, INSET and modelled lessons.  It is a pleasure to work with such a flexible, reliable company."

Mrs S Gore, ICT Subject Leader, Abbeymead Primary School

During our recent ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted, the inspector commented that she had never been to a setting that offered ICT in such a way, and was positive about the opportunity we offer. The children are always enthusiastic and happy to see teachers, and appear to gain a lot of ICT knowledge.  This is evident in their play when they recall and re-enact their learning.  The parents’ feedback is very positive, particularly as they receive weekly updates as to how their child is progressing.

Jacqui Thorp, Pre-school Leader, High Wych Pre-school Nursery, Sawbridgeworth

My son absolutely loves the computing summer camp and has asked if he can do this all the time!

Parent, October Camp, St George’s School for Girls, Edinburgh

Holly thought the course was excellent - she learnt some very interesting theories and is looking forward to the opportunity to do another course. As a parent (and in the Games industry) I think it is a wonderful opportunity for the girls to learn the techniques of game development.

Parent, Old Vicarage School, Richmond

ComputerXplorers is a fantastic programme which has a really positive impact on the children in our pre-school. They receive a high quality learning experience that is fun-packed leaving them motivated to learn more.

Head of Centre, Butterfly Nursery, Glasgow

ComputerXplorers extra-curricular computer clubs are extremely well attended and enjoyed by all who take part.  We have been very impressed with the professional approach of the tutor. Activities are well planned, the software is of a high quality and support is provided depending on the children's needs. We only need provide the room and pupils receive a very productive after-school activity. We would highly recommend ComputerXplorers to other primary schools.

Marie-Louise Thirlaway, Headteacher Marton-cum-Grafton, North Yorkshire

ComputerXplorers were a delight to work with. From the first time we had contact, they were very professional, knowledgeable and thorough in managing our requirements.  They were able to offer a variety of activities that covered both the current and new computing curriculum. Preparation for sessions was excellent with ComputerXplorers liaising with our technical support department to ensure software and equipment worked properly on our system. They also collaborated with staff and provided us with planning that showed links to the curriculum that incorporated flexibility and tailoring of sessions where necessary and suitably challenging. The children loved the sessions and saw real life application. The lessons promoted team work and problem solving skills too. Staff have also been able to develop their knowledge and understanding of computing.

I would recommend ComputerXplorers to anyone

Sharon Jones, ICT Co-ordinator and Tony Tamburro, Headteacher at Our Lady of Mount Carmel School, Redditch

As educators part of our role is to prepare children for the future. Although we do not know what the future will look like we can make the assumption that technology is going to play a huge part in most careers. Focusing on the teaching of programming and coding is our way of helping our children prepare for that future. Plus children love it and are much more adaptable to technology than adults. Having specialist days to promote programming only demonstrates its importance in the curriculum.

Colin Raraty, Headteacher, Rodings Primary School, Leaden Roding, Near Great Dunmow

Thank you so much for the workshops, they've been brilliant!

Jo Jones, Computing Lead, St Alphege JS, Solihull

I just wanted to tell you how much my daughter is loving ComputerXplorers at Boxgrove. She's really proud of the work she has done and I can see spread how much her computer literacy has increased in just 3 weeks.

Thank you for inspiring her!

Parent of KS1 child at Boxgrove, Guildford

ComputerXplorers has been running a co curricular club at Beachborough for two years now.  It is extremely popular with the children as it is fun, relevant and up to date with the opportunities it offers.  It has supported our Computing curriculum and is led by knowledgeable staff who guide the children well.  ComputerXplorers also interacts with the parents, keeping them informed of the topics covered and providing ways they can work with their child.  We can highly recommend ComputerXplorers, it is a definite hit here at Beachborough and I know it will go on being so!

Sophie Banks, Head of Pre Prep, Beachborough School

My son has been attending Computer Xplorers for the last year and begs me to sign him up each term!  He has absolutely loved the courses on animation, film making  and   website creation, taking what he has learnt  to have fun  at home and is very much looking forward to the 3D video game creation course this term.  His younger sister is just about to start too.  All in all highly recommended!

Parent, St Michael's CE Primary, Lichfield

The children at St. Thomas of Canterbury love their weekly visits to ICT Club where they are met with an enthusiastic teacher ready to inspire their imaginative minds. It is so popular that our current animation course was so oversubscribed we already have a whole new class for the summer term! The children look forward to the club each week and some even come to remind me that it is on! They learn new skills each week through fun targeted activities and are always eager to share their new discoveries with each other

Amy Grove, St Thomas of Canterbury School, Guildford

The Best Club Ever!

Pupil, St John's School, Lacey Green

It was an excellent session. Children seemed very fired up and distinctly pleased with their creations. Having an expert teacher who believes in what they are teaching makes a huge difference.

Chair, Surrey Explorers Gifted and Talented Workshops

A priority for improvement in our school has been the development of learning experiences for pupils which are meaningful and equip our young people with skills for life. We recognise that these experiences are often best delivered when working in partnership with others and ComputerXplorers have helped us achieve this for a number of pupils this session. The courses offered to pupils are tailored to their needs and interests and delivered by a highly professional team. Every effort is taken to ensure effective delivery of learning opportunities which motivate and engage our young people and planning has included opportunities for parents and staff to become involved. ComputerXplorers has given our children access to resources and equipment we as a school simply could not do and has provided advice and support for staff should they wish it. We are now aiming to build on this success by planning further courses for next session which will include quality CPD for staff and support us as we implement a Curriculum for Excellence.

Linda Logue, Head Teacher, Carmyle School, Glasgow

ComputerXplorers combine innovative, fun and interactive ICT clubs as part of our extended schools programme. The sessions are well structured with an emphasis on improving skills in ICT and across the curriculum.  The children, from a variety of year groups, are excited and engaged by the programmes they use and the Xplorers assemblies always cause a buzz around school. The team are always professional and parents speak enthusiastically about their children’s experience."

Hannah Attwood, Computing Lead, St Michael's PS, Lichfield

Staff, parents and children are delighted with the work the children are producing and learning week on week. As well as fitting in with our curriculum, the children have had experience of using i-pads, digital cameras, digital microscopes and bee-bots. In addition children can log on at home to access their favourite learning activities and parents have been impressed with this facility. We would recommend ComputerXplorers to any nursery or school looking for that extra push in the right direction with ICT.”

Pauline McGraw - Head of Buttons and Bows Nursery, Crookston

At Four Oaks we already run a comprehensive array of musical and sporty afterschool activities, but the activities that ComputerXplorers put on enable us to support a different kind of pupil group within school.

Children ranging from Year 1 all the way through to Year 6 have been involved with their ICT based projects and the pupils have thoroughly enjoyed themselves, extending their ICT skills beyond what they achieve through their normal ICT curriculum activities.

Having started with the idea of running a club twice a week we have had to extend this opportunity to all five days of the week as the clubs have proved so popular. Long may this popularity continue !

Mark Benton, Deputy Head Teacher, Four Oaks Primary School, Sutton Coldfield

Ethan has, yet again, loved ComputerXplorers and wants me to get his name down for whatever club you do next!! We were really impressed with his musical mix and he'd had  a  great time putting it together - thank you

Parent, The Blake Primary School, Witney

"These classes are helping us to stretch our pupils who are already very able with computers."

Kelly Ford, Head Teacher, Moreton Morrell C of E Primary School, Warwick

Thank you for your fantastic weekly updates. Charlotte has enjoyed herself thoroughly and is really looking forward to being part of your 'CSI' team next term/year.”

Parent, St Thomas of Canterbury School, Guildford

From the start, the children were extremely engaged and thoroughly enjoyed the challenge of following an exciting project through from start to finish.  Parents have already asked whether we will be offering the club again, which is obviously a significant endorsement of the service provided.

Sue Morris, ICT Co-ordinator, Dodford First School, Worcestershire

The children thoroughly enjoyed working with 'ComputerXplorers' and had a very successful interactive morning (Y4) / afternoon (Y5) learning many new ICT skills.  The projects the children completed were linked closely to the curriculum and a topic area that the children were focusing on - The Tudors for Y4 and Water Aid for Y5 (the exact themes were set by the teachers at the school so that the team could then fine tune their delivery on the day). All children were actively involved throughout the session and enjoyed every second.  The teacher who led the session was organised and explained each step thoroughly and had a high level of competence in ICT.  As a one-off session the enjoyment and skills received by the children was worth everybody's hard work.  We did like NewsMaker and the children loved filming themselves and seeing themselves on screen!!

Carol Harvey and Cheryl Coldwell, Crossley Street Primary School, Wetherby

Just wanted to let you know how impressed my husband and I are with your company. Roan has loved the course and we've really appreciated the sheets that have come back telling us what they've been doing each week. It's a really great idea and lovely to be able to see the finished article"

Parent, Bonnyrigg Primary, Bonnyrigg

Its the way forward. Computer skills are essential for today's children. By introducing them to technology at an early age they will have a head start.

We already use computers in the nursery and one of the added benefits of ComputerXplorers' classes is that the staff are becoming more computer literate too and keeping up with the latest technology!

Tricia O'Neil and Isobel Crossan, Managers of Pollok Kindercare

Your teacher engages them so much with what they are doing they pile out of the class so full of everything they've learnt with great big smiles on their faces. My daughter just loves it!

Parent, Gateway School, Oxfordshire

Just a quick big thank you for yesterday's inset.  I have spoken to a few teachers and they all loved it.  They commented that it was really enjoyable and how engrossed they got in to programming.  I am really pleased with their increased confidence and acceptance that programming can be a great fun, engaging and that quality learning can occur.

Craig Harrison, ICT Co-ordinator, Colham Manor Primary School

These are the best words that I can use to describe the best club I have ever joined,  . . . . . Fabulous, Awesome, Epic and Best Experience Ever!

Pupil, St John's School, Lacey Green

ComputerXplorers has transformed our ICT teaching.  They came to run workshops with our Year 1’s and 2’s.  They linked the experience to our topics and opened up an amazing world of animation or webcam storyboards to the children which were incredibly exciting.  It was a day of ICT teaching at its best.  It not only helped staff deliver an ICT lesson it allowed them to assess the topic learning already acquired whilst witnessing the use of new software.  There were only two downsides to this experience – the first that we hadn’t allowed enough time for each class to really benefit from the session and secondly we don’t have either of them on our staff!  We have already booked more sessions and suddenly the fun is back in ICT.  We have also booked them for Reception, to run an After School Club and to support staff with some Inset training which probably tells you how successful the day was.

Jacqui Marriot, Head of Pre-Prep Cheam School

I just wanted to say thank you for providing such an enjoyable and inspriring after school club. Rhys loves coming and looks forward to it all week. It gives him so much confidence, and it's so refreshing as he is not into football as so many of his friends are. Simply brilliant!!!

Parent, Hammond School, Lightwater

ComputerXplorers has successfully run our extra-curricular computer clubs in both the Infant and Junior Departments for the last 8 months. The clubs are extremely well attended and enjoyed by all who take part.

ComputerXplorers offers our pupils the opportunity to develop their ICT skills and creativity through units of study it would be difficult for us to offer as part of the standard ICT curriculum. The clubs also involve a high degree of challenge and breadth of curriculum which forms part of the provision for our gifted and talented learners. Pupils also have the opportunity to use a wide range of software and hardware we do not have available to us in school.

The assemblies at the start of the year thoroughly engage and motivate the pupils (and staff) and give a good demonstration of the programmes on offers for the coming term.

We look forward to our continued work with ComputerXplorers.

Alison Walklett, Head Teacher, New Oscott P.S.

Thank you very much for the workshops, they all went very well in terms of resources, instructions and what the children were able to achieve at the end of it all. It was amazing, exciting and incredibly easy for the children to achieve at their own levels.

I would like on behalf of our headteacher, who was extremely pleased with the outcomes and the rest of the staff and children, say a massive thank you.

Certainly my class, and I am sure all the other classes enjoyed the sessions.

Mr Hayford Krufi, ICT Co-ordinator, Hurst Drive Primary School, Waltham Cross

This is such a fantastic opportunity for the children and the classes are very popular.  Without even realising it the pupils are learning valuable computer skills that they wouldn’t normally come across until much later in their education.  I’m really impressed with the games they are creating and with the quality of the curriculum and lessons provided by ComputerXplorers.

Nick Rosenthal, Head of ICT, Kew Green Preparatory School, Kew

"My daughter attended your club recently and loved it and talked to everyone that would listen what she was doing. Please could you let me know when new classes will be running as I would like for my daughter to take part - thanks for giving my child something fun and different to do"

Parent, Gylemuir Primary, Edinburgh

Many thanks for once again running a great course which has got my son more enthusiastic about IT.  The comic idea is great with him now drawing his own comics at home as well as using the computer with greater confidence.  Thank you!"

UPDATE - You’ve done it again!! One happy child full of enthusiasm.  We loved the finished news reel last night!

Parent, Four Oaks PS, Sutton Coldfield

"My children have both thoroughly enjoyed learning about fingerprinting, the difference between hairs and fabrics and examining these things under a microscope as part of their CSI course. It has certainly given my daughter some ideas about a possible career. When they come home they are very enthusiastic and will babble away about all that was discussed at the class. Thank you for providing such interesting and informative classes. I very much hope you will be doing more courses over the coming years for them both to enjoy"

Parent, Livingston Village Primary, Livingston

We are keen to offer as broad a range of extra-curricular activities as possible. The classes are so engaging and the children are thoroughly engrossed in what they are doing.  They get the opportunity to use specialist software that wouldn’t ordinarily be accessible within school and they are learning sophisticated new skills as well as improving their numeracy, literacy and team working abilities.

The programme is very popular and we look forward to continuing our association with ComputerXplorers.

Nick Alford, Headteacher, Glebe Primary School, Ickenham

"The boys have thoroughly enjoyed their forensic science lessons and are looking forward to starting new classes! We look forward to another exciting adventure with ComputerXplorers!"

Parent, St Peter's Catholic Primary School, Leamington Spa
